Chess courses for children and teenagers 9

Children around Milan mostly learn chess at a club, in groups that meet once a week through the school year. In the city, Accademia Scacchi Milano runs a Wednesday junior course and a Sunday-morning school and organises youth tournaments of its own; Paul Morphy has a Saturday-morning school; Chess Projects sorts children by age in an academy term from September to December; Scacchi a Colori brings workshops into Milan schools; the Scacchistica Milanese lists youth courses as well.

In the towns, Cormano begins its youth courses in the public library on a Saturday morning, Lainate runs free Saturday groups for children at two levels, Cinisello Balsamo offers a free trial lesson and holds a schools tournament each spring, and Lissone lists courses for young people. Age bands and fees are seldom written down, so ask the club directly when enrolling a child.
