Privacy and data

What the form sends

Sending the form passes on your name, at least one contact you choose, and your text: the place concerned, what should change, the page that shows it and your connection to the place. The address and language of the page you sent it from travel with it. One field is hidden from people and serves only to catch automated spam.

Where it is kept and why

Messages are stored by a form service and read together at the next revision of the list. They are used to check and apply what you report, and for nothing else. Names and contacts are never published, sold or passed to the clubs or organisers concerned; a published correction describes the change, not the sender.

Counting visits

Visits are counted by a small script served from this site’s own domain. It sets no cookie and does not follow anyone to other sites. For each page view it records the page, the referring page, and the browser, type of device and country derived from the request; only totals are ever looked at.

No third-party code

No advertising, social-media or other outside tracking code runs here, and no external fonts, map tiles or images are loaded. Links to sources or maps lead to other websites with rules of their own. The host that serves these pages processes technical data, IP addresses included, as far as delivering them requires.

Deleting a message

To have an earlier message removed, send the form again with the same name and contact and say which message should go. It is deleted from the form service at the next reading of messages; a confirmation follows only if you ask for one.
